Helios Education Campus

Helios Education Foundation Builds New Education Campus

Helios Education Foundation is currently building a new campus that will serve as the permanent home to the Foundation as well as home to four of Helios' strategic partners - College Success Arizona, Expect More Arizona, NALEO, and Teach for America - Phoenix.

In addition, the Helios Education Campus will include the Vince Roig Convening Center which will help foster collaboration and partnership to create more opportunities for students.  This Center will host select education-related meetings and activities in support of education in Arizona and Florida. The Center is named after our Founding Chairman, Vince Roig, who is deeply committed to creating strategic partnerships and collaborations that lead to student success.

The Helios Education Campus embodies Helios' fundamental beliefs in collaboration and partnership.  The best work, the most innovative ideas, and the most strategic decisions are made when people work together.  The Campus is expected to open in August, 2019.

"This will be a gathering place for educators, policymakers, teachers and others to strategically map out big ideas, and build public and political will for key reforms that can break down barriers to a quality education," said Paul J. Luna, President and CEO, Helios Education Foundation.  "The Helios Education Campus will enable unprecedented collaboration, and we hope it will be a point of pride for all of Arizona."

Collaboration

The Helios Education Campus will enable unprecedented collaboration and bring together public officials, business and community leaders and educators to strengthen Helios' core mission: to create opportunities for individuals to succeed in postsecondary education.

Partnership

More than 21,000 square feet will be used for convening and meeting space and about 28,000 square feet will be used for office space for community and non-profit partners.

Impact

The new building features a large courtyard and outdoor space to take advantage of the Arizona climate.  The building also includes several meeting rooms of different sizes to accommodate large and small group meetings.

"Helios is making a centuries-long commitment to Arizona students and teachers, and our new campus will be an anchor for educational excellence,"  said Vince Roig, Founding Chairman, Helios Education Foundation.  "This investment of bricks and brilliant minds will help more students every year succeed in the knowledge economy of the future."
