Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Honors Helios Founding Chairman Vince Roig

Helios Education Foundation’s Founding Chairman, Vince Roig, was honored by the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) as the 2022 Advocate of the Year.

The Advocate of the Year is a coveted honor which acknowledges Mr. Roig’s leadership and lifelong commitment to education. Under Mr. Roig’s leadership, Helios Education Foundation awarded over $15 million dollars through more than 11,000 scholarships to Latino students, invested over $186M in improving education for low-income and Latino students in Arizona and supported 1.5M Arizona students. 

Across both Arizona and Florida, Helios Education Foundation has invested nearly $300 million in partnerships and initiatives dedicated to improving education outcomes for students in those two states. The Foundation helped more than 1.5 million students participate in early learning, college and career planning, and postsecondary education programs. Additionally, the Helios Board has helped to award more than 27,000 scholarships in total and to provide professional development opportunities to more than 60,000 educators.
