Helios Education Foundation is committed to student success in Arizona and Florida. That commitment, during these times of uncertainly, is focused on supporting students, teachers, and administrators by sharing timely information surrounding steps taken to address the ongoing threat of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
As an engaged community partner our goal is to gather and share the most pertinent information, places to stay up-to-date, and resources to ensure the safety of students, families, and vulnerable populations.
Arizona Department of Education Guidance to Schools on COVID-19
This page contains guidance and resources for Arizona’s public district and charter schools as they navigate COVID-19 response. The situation around COVID-19 is rapidly changing, so please continue to check this page for updates and guidance.
Note: On Friday, March 20, 2020, Governor Ducey and Superintendent Hoffman announced a two-week extension of school closures through Friday, April 10, 2020. Going forward, Governor Ducey and Superintendent Hoffman will continue to provide updates and guidance about the need for continued school closures beyond that date.
Florida Department of Education Emergency Response on COVID-19
The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) is working closely with the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor COVID-19 and is actively working to ensure that the most up-to-date CDC guidance is quickly and accurately disseminated.
