The Future of Higher Education
The future of Arizona rests in the future of higher education. Arizona must strengthen our commitment to provide all students in Arizona with the opportunity to achieve a postsecondary degree. Not only will it improve individual quality of life, but it will help ensure our state’s economic growth and development.
Recently, Helios Education Foundation along with the Phoenix Business Journal hosted a conversation on the Future of Higher Education in Arizona. The discussion was moderated by Paul J. Luna, Helios’ President and CEO and included the following panelists: Dr. Rita Cheng, President of Northern Arizona University, Dr. Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University, and Dr. Robert Robbins, President of the University of Arizona.
Each of them shared their perspective on both the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead for our universities. In addition, they shared their university’s plans to ensure more opportunities for students to succeed in their pursuit of a postsecondary degree.
