March 20, 2019

In just a little over six months, Helios Education Foundation will move to our new permanent location near 32nd street and Camelback in Phoenix.  This move culminates years of dreaming and planning on the part of our board and staff.  The Helios Education Campus, as we  have named it, will not only serve as the permanent home of Helios but it will also be the home of College Success Arizona, Expect More Arizona, NALEO Educational Fund, and Teach for America – Phoenix.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the inclusion of the Vince Roig Convening Center which will help foster collaboration and partnership to create more opportunities for students.  This Center will host select education-related meetings and activities in support of education in Arizona and Florida.  The Center is named after our Founding Chairman, Vince Roig, who is deeply committed to creating strategic partnerships and collaborations that lead to student success.

The addition of this collaboration and meeting space was very intentional as it reflects Helios’ fundamental belief in collaboration and partnership.  We know the best work, the most innovative ideas, and the most strategic decisions are made when people work together.  This value is also reflected in Helios’ Florida office which was intentionally built with collaboration in mind.  We have hosted a variety of community activities and education conversations in our Florida office that are focused on creating opportunities for students. In fact, just last week, we were pleased to host the NALEO Educational Fund for a community conversation centered on engaging Latino elected officials in Florida.

We will share more information about our new building in the coming months and we hope you will join us in celebrating this milestone as we continue to work together to ensure more Arizona and Florida students have the opportunity to succeed in postsecondary education.
