Be A Leader Foundation (BALF) focuses on helping disadvantaged and minority students build leadership skills to achieve their educational aspirations. BALF has a variety of programs operating in the Roosevelt School District in South Phoenix, including the Be A Leader Institute (BLI), the Valedictorian Club for 8th graders, the Leadership Scholarship and Mentor Program, and the Summer Internship Program. All of these programs are focused on providing a strong foundation for disadvantaged students through workshops and mentoring for student achievement, engaged leadership participation and ongoing scholastic preparation.
